Climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro is one of our main passions at Embark Exploration Co., and since we have been doing it for years, we think we’re pretty good at it.

But the people who are really good at this, the ones who make it all possible, are the guides and porters we work with. They are, simply put, amazing.

As Embark Trip Leader Jim Ronning points out in this video, it’s the porters and guides who:

• Carry everything, from personal to camp gear and food
• Fix meals
• Set up and tear down camp
• Coordinate the entire experience
• still make it to camp before the climbers
• and sing and dance!
