Who wants to climb Mount Kilimanjaro this summer?
Embark has two “open groups” going up Africa’s highest peak in 2012, and both groups have slots available.
We have a group of six beginning the climb up the Lemosho Route on July 31, with room for three more people. This is an eight day climb, with a full day of acclimatization at Lava Tower.
We have another group – on the same style climb – starting to climb on August 28, and that group has room, as well.
At 19,341 feet, Kilimanjaro is among the world’s gentlest high summits, whose awe-inspiring views bear maximum reward. Its nickname, in fact, is “The Everyman’s Everest.” Embark, which was founded on the slopes of Kilimanjaro, uses the beautiful and seldom-visited Lemosho Route to the Western Breach, and we offer a climber’s dream combination: a high success rate with very low foot traffic. We also specialize in camping at the highest camp on Kilimanjaro, Crater Camp.
