Dhruba Khanal is one our top Himalayan guides in Nepal. 

From the moment you meet Dhruba, until he sees you off on your plane for departure, the smile on his face and unbelievable positive energy never disappears.  In fact, the levity he exudes is so genuine that it permeates everyone around him. As you find yourself cursing the grueling climb to Namche Bazaar, you will find yourself simultaneously chanting the ridiculous songs he’s taught you.

Not only is he professional, responsible and knows the Khumbu Valley like the back of his hand- he also never stops dancing his way through the Himalayas.  His responsibilities range from helping a sick hiker down the valley by hiring the last horse in the village to picking up loads of trash from careless other trail users- and he does it with strength, happiness and charisma.  Dhruba was with with our last group in Nepal before the country shut its borders. He managed to get them safely up to Everest base camp and then secure a helicopter evacuation from Tengboche back to Kathmandu.
