Upon arrival at Kigali International Airport, we are met and take a scenic 3-hour drive to Akagera National Park, in the low-lying east of Rwanda.
We will spend our morning in the park as we enjoy game drives. Later in the afternoon, we will take a boat trip where we will be able view hippos and many water birds, before returning to your lodge in the evening.
Another day of game viewing in the park.
Today we drive 8 hours to Volcanoes National Park.
After early breakfast at the lodge, we will be transferred to the park headquarters for briefing and from there we proceed for our gorilla tracking activity to one of the gorilla families that have been habituated to the presence of humans. In the afternoon, if time weather permits, visit the twin lakes Burera and Ruhondo or the local markets in the Musanze town.
Today you will have your second gorilla track.
We will be transferred back to Volcanoes National Park for briefing before heading into the forest to track equally rare Golden Monkeys. After the morning activity, we will return to the lodge for lunch and shower and then head back to Kigali for your international flight.
