Many people want to climb Mt. Kilimanjaro, and we at Embark love helping them.
Sometimes, though, it’s more than a climb, and the people we help are more than clients.
So it was with Lila Javan, a filmmaker from Los Angeles. The second time she was diagnosed with acute myeloid leukemia (AML), she decided to climb Kili to give her something to focus on, plan towards, and hope for. And she was such an inspiration, her doctor and almost a dozen others decided to join.
